1996 | Barcelona

EuroEconomics was founded in Barcelona in 1996 by a single entrepreneur. At the time, there were no press releases, no announcements, and no grand plans to share. In fact, we probably would not even have made it into the local neighbourhood paper.

What was clear from the very beginning, however, was the ambition behind the company. That ambition was reflected in a name that may have seemed remarkably bold for such a small start-up: EuroEconomics International SL.

From day one, the vision extended beyond borders.

When EuroEconomics Madrid SL was founded in 2002, the original company continued under the name EuroEconomics Barcelona SL.

Much has changed since those early days. Today, EuroEconomics has offices across Spain and supports international clients wherever their ambitions take them.

EuroEconomics Barcelona, however, remains where our story began, and it continues to hold a special place within the Group. From here, we ensure that clients are connected with the right local team, in the right location, at the right moment.

If you would like to learn more about our journey from a one-person business in Barcelona to an international organisation operating across multiple locations, we warmly invite you to read our story

1997-2016 Building | Madrid Marbella Girona

Between 1997 and 2016, EuroEconomics grew steadily into something far greater than originally imagined.

During these years, we expanded our presence with the opening of offices in Madrid (2002) and Marbella (2004), while the integration of Ibersupport Girona in 2013 laid the foundations for what would become EuroEconomics Girona in 2015.

Growth during this period was thoughtful rather than loud. We focused on quality, expertise, and continuously refining our services to support international companies and high-net-worth individuals throughout Spain.

This consistent approach enabled us to build a strong reputation and gradually establish ourselves as one of Spain’s leading independent service firms for international clients.

Along the way, our team grew, client needs became increasingly complex, and our services evolved accordingly. Without making a great deal of noise about it, EuroEconomics matured into an organisation with a clear identity, deep expertise, and a distinctive way of working.

By the end of 2016, we had grown to four offices and around forty colleagues. We had built a solid foundation, developed a strong sense of who we were, and shared the conviction that we were ready for the next chapter.

Time to start pushing!
